Moon Projector Lamp: 5 Ways to Use the Nocturne in a Bedroom
1. Aim A Moon Projector Lamp At A Bedroom Wall
A moon projector lamp casts a moon image onto a wall or ceiling. Put Nocturne at a suitable USB-A port, bend its 28 cm arm toward the surface and adjust the distance for the size you want.
A projector casts an image; a moon lamp is a glowing globe; a galaxy or star projector shows moving colours. Nocturne projects one warm golden moon. Choose which effect you want before comparing lights.
2. Turn The Gooseneck Toward The Ceiling
The flexible arm lets you move the moon from the wall to a ceiling. Check where the image falls before settling on the placement:
- Bedroom wall
- Bedroom ceiling
- Sloped ceiling
- Space above a bed
- USB port position
- Distance to surface
3. Use A Power Bank On A Shelf Or Bedside Table
Nocturne runs from USB-A at 5 V. A power bank powers it away from a wall outlet. It projects one golden moon, with no stars or changing colours.
Check the projection distance as well as the shelf position. Keep the small head out of reach.
Keep these power options in mind:
- Phone charger USB-A, 5 V; check adapter supply
- USB power bank USB power without a wall socket
- Laptop or lamp port Check for a suitable USB-A connection at 5 V
4. Use A Bedside Lamp USB Port
Choose a suitable 5 V USB-A port, then aim the head:
- Step 1: Find a clear wall or ceiling for the moon.
- Step 2: Bend the arm toward that surface.
- Step 3: Move closer for a smaller, sharper image.
5. Project Onto A Sloped Ceiling
The warm golden moon is about 1 m wide from 2 to 3 m away. Closer placement makes a smaller, sharper image. Check the distance from the USB port.
The 28 cm aluminium-alloy gooseneck holds a 2.5 cm ABS + PC head with a glass lens and a built-in LED. For these construction and placement details, see the Nocturne lamp product page.
