Overview

Velvet alone can look soft to the point of shapelessness. Gather™ gives it structure: horizontal bands stitched across the face, so that the pile catches light in clean, deliberate stripes and not in one glossy patch. On a 45 × 45 cm cover with a hidden zip the effect is quietly tailored: ivory for the base, forest for depth, and amber and ochre for the warm notes a Japandi room needs. These are covers only: your inserts stay, and the sofa gets a new look.

Care

Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle, inside out with the zip closed, then air dry. Smooth the pleats flat while damp.

Does it come with an insert?
No. Gather™ is the cover only, sized for the standard 45 × 45 cm inserts you already own.
Do the pleats go flat?
The bands are stitched in and not pressed, so they recover after being leaned on and after washing. Smooth them while damp and they dry crisp.
Which colours go together best?
Ivory as the base, forest for contrast, and amber or ochre as the warm accent. Any two of the four look like a set.
How is velvet washed?
A cool, gentle cycle, inside out with the zip closed, then air dry. Never tumble dry hot, because velvet does not recover from rough treatment.
Does it fit a 50 cm insert?
A 50 cm insert overfills it. Keep to 45 cm for the tailored look, or use a smaller insert for a softer slouch.
Is the zip visible?
No. It is hidden under the flap of the bottom seam, so all four visible edges are unbroken velvet.
