Overview

What it is: a firm triangular positioning wedge that holds your body in place in bed. Size: 50 × 25 × 15 cm (19.7" × 9.8" × 5.9").

Behind the back: the incline blocks rolling onto your back — quieter breathing and less positional snoring, plus held side-lying for post-surgery recovery and pregnancy sleep.

Under the knees: gentle elevation for circulation and comfort.

Built simply: firm support foam — deliberately not memory foam, which would give way and let you roll — with a zippered, washable polyester cover. No straps, no parts.

Who it's for: positional snorers, side sleepers who drift onto their back, post-surgery recovery, pregnancy, and home care.

Care

Cover: unzip and machine wash cold on gentle with mild detergent; air dry or tumble low.

Foam core: never machine wash. If damp, blot and air dry fully before re-covering. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.

On arrival: air out for 24–48 hours, as with any new foam product.

Storage: store flat and uncompressed — the wedge holds its angle best when nothing heavy sits on it.

Materials

Foam Core: firm supportive foam that resists compression, so the wedge holds its angle under body weight all night. This is deliberate: a positioning wedge needs stable resistance, not memory-foam contouring that slowly gives way and lets you roll.

Cover: smooth woven polyester in deep blue, removable via a full-length zipper and machine washable — practical for nightly use and care settings.

Construction: no straps, valves, or moving parts. The triangular geometry does the work, which also means nothing to adjust or replace.

Sleep, recovery, elevation

One Wedge, Many Positions.

Behind the back for side-lying stability, under the knees or ankles for gentle elevation, or as a steady bolster during post-surgery recovery and pressure care. One size, 50 cm — small enough to stay out of the way, firm enough to hold.

My partner stopped elbowing me

I only snore when I end up on my back. This little wedge keeps me on my side the whole night and my wife says the snoring is basically gone. Wish I'd found it years ago.

Perfect for post-op side sleeping

My surgeon told me to stay off my back for six weeks. This held me in position without me having to think about it, and it's firm enough that it doesn't squash down overnight. Made recovery a lot less stressful.

Small but does exactly one job well

It's more compact than I expected, which I love — it doesn't take over the bed. Firm foam, nice cover, and it actually stops me rolling over. Also use it under my knees some nights.

Frequently asked questions

What is it actually for?
Holding a stable body position. That one job covers several needs: staying on your side through the night (which keeps breathing quieter and reduces positional snoring), maintaining required side-lying positions after surgery, steady support during pregnancy, gentle leg elevation, and repositioning help in home care. If you have diagnosed sleep apnea, treat it with your doctor — the wedge supports position, it doesn't replace therapy.
How big is it?
50 × 25 × 15 cm (19.7" × 9.8" × 5.9") — forearm-length, and about as tall as a rolled bath towel. Big enough to block a roll-over, small enough to leave the rest of the bed alone.
Is it memory foam?
No — deliberately. The core is firm supportive foam that resists compression, because a positioning wedge has to push back rather than mold around you. Memory foam would slowly give way overnight and let you roll.
Can it be used for post-surgery recovery or home care?
Yes — holding a stable side-lying position is one of its main jobs, whether after surgery or for regular repositioning in care situations. Follow your clinician's guidance on positioning schedules and angles.
Can I use it for leg elevation too?
Yes — under the knees or ankles it gives gentle elevation for circulation and comfort. If you want dedicated, higher leg elevation every night, the CalmEden Elevate™ leg wedge is purpose-built for that.
