Engineered to hold its angle.

Most wedge pillows are cut from soft bulk foam and flatten within months. The Zenith™ is built around a 40D high-density core that holds its 30-degree incline — night after night, year after year. An integrated, removable neck roll keeps the head supported while the upper body rests elevated: one structure, considered in full.

Sleep. Reading. Recovery. One form for every position.

Overview

If acid reflux, congestion or snoring ruins your nights, lying flat is the enemy. The Zenith lifts your upper body to a therapeutic 30-degree incline, using gravity to keep stomach acid down, open your airways, drain your sinuses and quiet your snoring, all from the way it holds you.

A removable neck roll at the top supports your cervical curve so your head does not tilt back, and the gradual incline spreads your weight evenly with no pressure points. Firm 40D foam holds the angle without compressing; the quilted grey cover is breathable and zips off to wash. Reposition it for back sleeping, sitting up to read, or leg elevation.

56 x 37 cm, 27 cm high, 2.1 kg. Made for acid reflux and GERD, snoring, breathing difficulties, sinus congestion, recovery and pregnancy.

Care

Remove the cover via the zipper on the back of the wedge. The neck roll cover can be removed separately via its own zipper. Machine wash both covers in cold water on a gentle cycle using mild, fragrance-free detergent. The quilted fabric requires gentle care to maintain its structure and plushness. Air dry flat or tumble dry on low heat. Wash the covers every 3-4 weeks for optimal hygiene, or more frequently if you sweat heavily or use the wedge daily. The high-density foam core should never be washed; if it gets wet, blot with a towel and air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before replacing the cover. Spot clean the foam with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. To maintain the wedge's shape and support, avoid compressing or folding it for extended periods—store upright or flat when not in use. The foam is firm and durable, but excessive compression can cause deformation over time. If the wedge develops an odor, remove the cover and air out the foam core for 24-48 hours in a well-ventilated area (avoid direct sunlight, which can degrade the foam). The foam may have a slight odor when new; air it out for 24-48 hours before first use. The neck roll is attached via Velcro—you can remove it for washing or to adjust its position on the wedge. Reattach firmly to ensure it stays in place during use. If the Velcro loses grip over time, clean it with a soft brush to remove lint and debris, or contact CalmEden customer service for replacement Velcro strips.

Materials

Wedge Core: High-density 40D memory foam engineered for firm, stable support. This density is firmer than standard pillow foam (25D-35D) because the wedge must support your entire upper body weight (typically 20-30kg) without compressing or losing its shape. The 40D foam maintains the therapeutic 30-degree incline night after night, even with nightly use. The foam is also durable enough to support sitting positions—you can sit up against the wedge to read or watch TV without it compressing excessively. The gradual wedge shape (27cm high at the top, tapering to 0cm at the bottom) distributes body weight evenly across the surface, preventing pressure points and ensuring comfort. CertiPUR-US certified (free from harmful chemicals, heavy metals, and formaldehyde).

30-Degree Incline: The wedge's 30-degree angle is medically recommended for multiple therapeutic benefits: (1) Acid reflux reduction—gravity keeps stomach acid in the stomach, preventing it from flowing back into the esophagus. Studies show that sleeping at a 30-degree incline significantly reduces nighttime acid reflux episodes. (2) Improved breathing—the elevated position opens airways and increases lung capacity, making breathing easier for people with COPD, asthma, or bronchitis. (3) Sinus drainage—the incline promotes mucus drainage from sinuses, relieving congestion and pressure. (4) Reduced snoring—elevation prevents the tongue and soft tissues from collapsing backward and obstructing the airway, reducing snoring and mild sleep apnea symptoms. (5) Spinal support—the gradual incline supports the spine's natural curves better than lying flat, reducing lower back pressure.

Integrated Neck Roll: The neck roll (10cm diameter) is attached at the top of the wedge via Velcro, providing cervical support when you lie on the wedge. When your upper body is elevated on the wedge, your neck needs support to maintain its natural curve—without the neck roll, your head would tilt backward (hyperextension) or forward, causing neck strain. The neck roll cradles your neck, maintaining proper cervical alignment. The roll uses firm memory foam that maintains its cylindrical shape under head weight. The roll is removable—you can adjust its position on the wedge (higher or lower) to match your body size, or remove it entirely if you prefer to use your own pillow. The Velcro attachment is strong enough to keep the roll in place during sleep but easy to remove for washing or adjustment.

Cover: Breathable grey quilted fabric on the wedge body and darker grey quilted fabric on the neck roll. The quilted pattern adds plush comfort and enhances breathability by creating air channels. The grey color is sophisticated and doesn't show stains or discoloration as easily as white fabric. The cover is removable via a zipper on the back of the wedge, making it easy to wash. The fabric is soft against skin and clothing, comfortable for both sleeping and sitting.

The angle that does the work

Engineered to Hold 30 Degrees.

The 30-degree incline is the medically recommended angle for keeping stomach acid down, airways open, and sinuses draining. A 40D high-density core holds that angle night after night — no compressing, no sagging into flatness.

Cervical support, adjustable

The Neck Roll Earns Its Place.

A 10 cm memory foam neck roll attaches by velcro at the top of the wedge, keeping the head from tipping back when elevated. Slide it to match your height, or remove it entirely. The grey quilted cover zips off for washing.

I can sleep without the 2am heartburn

Lying flat always gave me bad heartburn at night. Sleeping propped up on this at a gentle incline means I actually stay asleep now instead of sitting up in the dark. It's firm enough that I don't slide down off it either.

Breathe so much easier propped up

When I'm congested or fighting a cold, sleeping raised up on this makes a huge difference to my breathing. My partner also says I snore a lot less when I'm on it.

Holds the incline all night

A stack of pillows always slid apart and went flat by morning. This keeps the same angle from the moment I lie down till I wake up. I lean against it to read in the evening too.

Frequently asked questions

I have GERD and take medication, but I still wake up with heartburn. Will this help?
Yes — sleeping at a 30-degree incline uses gravity to keep stomach acid down, and studies show it reduces nighttime reflux episodes by 60–70%. Keep taking prescribed medication, avoid eating 2–3 hours before bed, and favor your left side. If severe reflux persists, see your doctor.
I snore loudly and my partner says I sometimes stop breathing. Can this help?
Elevation prevents the tongue and soft tissue from collapsing into the airway, which reduces snoring for many sleepers. But if that 'stops breathing' observation is accurate, get a sleep study — moderate-to-severe sleep apnea needs CPAP, and the wedge is a companion to it, not a substitute.
I have COPD and struggle to breathe lying flat. Will it help me sleep?
The 30-degree position opens airways, increases lung capacity, and helps mucus drain instead of pooling — many people with COPD sleep through the night elevated. If you have severe COPD or use supplemental oxygen, confirm the angle with your doctor; some cases need steeper positioning.
Can I use it for reading and TV, or only for sleeping?
Both — the firm 40D core supports sitting without compressing. Set it against the headboard and lean back; many people use it for daytime sitting and nighttime elevation, especially during post-surgery recovery.
I'm pregnant and have reflux and trouble breathing lying flat. Is it safe?
Yes — elevation eases both pregnancy reflux and diaphragm pressure, and doctors often recommend left-side sleeping with upper-body elevation, which the wedge supports. The gradual incline avoids belly pressure. Check with your doctor if you have any complications.
