Finally, a trivet I don't hide
It leans against the backsplash like a little arch sculpture and guests have asked where it's from. Then the casserole dish lands on it and it just does its job.

Saved the new oak table
Dutch oven straight from a 220° oven onto this, onto our oak dining table. No mark, no smell, no drama. The ridges kept the pot from sliding when I stirred.

Grippy in both directions
Our counters are polished stone and everything slides on them — except this. The trivet stays put and the teapot stays put on the trivet.

Frequently asked questions
How hot can the cookware be?
Standard food-grade silicone handles pots and dishes straight from the hob or a hot oven — daily dinner temperatures are no problem at all.
Will it mark or stain my counter?
No — the base is soft matte silicone that leaves nothing behind on wood, stone or laminate, and won't scratch delicate finishes.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, top rack — though a ten-second rinse under the tap usually does it.
Does it work for teapots and small pans?
Yes — at roughly 15 cm across, the arch supports teapots, saucepans, moka pots and oven dishes; for very wide roasting trays, use two.
Will it smell of silicone or hold food odours?
No — cured food-grade silicone is odour-neutral and doesn't absorb smells, even after curry night.
Can it hang on a hook?
Yes — the open arch slips over a rail hook by the stove, which is the second-best place to keep it. The best is right on the counter.
