Care

plastic and the nob to turn it on and off was just bad quality. the design however is great! like the paper is perfect but the lamp itself is the main issue. and i bought 2 one worked for a few days then gave out. another one barley lights up. i still have them around for the design though.

Works exactly as advertised, functionality is great. Dimming works perfectly without flickering (mentioned as a problem by other reviewers, but not happening to me). The shade is thicker and more sturdy than other Japanese lamps. Yes, it can look non-square at first, but it straightens out as you fold it back and forth to relieve the initial stiffness (takes like 10 seconds is all). Good value for the money. Its touch control and dimming are convenient and make the room inviting. I'm going to buy a second one.

Looks OK. Decent black base, but lampshade is a thick plasticky material vs paper or fiber. It looks OK from far away, but looks like waxy plastic up close. I kept it cuz it's workable and good size. The dimmable switch is a nice feature and switch ware is solid and seems pretty rugged.

I purchased this to replace an accent lamp that had broken. I wanted something similar, and this one caught my eye. It was better than the one I replaced. I loved the design of it, it matched exactly to the decor in my living room. The packaging was perfect, and the lamp/lantern is of excellent quality and craftsmanship. Easy to put together and the dimmable LED lightbulb was a nice touch, to use with a dial that operates the brightness of the bulb. They supplied the bulb so there was no doubt about which type of bulb to use. I would highly recommend this product.
