Overview

When your ear is sore, every pillow in the house is the wrong one. A new piercing, a tender ear or a night with earbuds in: as soon as you lie on your side, the pillow presses exactly where you cannot stand pressure. Hollow™ takes the contact away. It is a firm memory foam ring, 25 cm across with a 9 cm opening in the centre, so your head rests on the ring and your ear hangs free in the middle. Side sleepers can stay on their side, and the zip-off cover can be washed while the foam keeps its shape.

Care

Unzip the cover and take out the foam, then machine wash the cover cool and air dry it. Wash the cover only; the foam ring must stay dry.

How is it used?

Put it on top of your usual pillow and lie with your ear over the central opening. The foam ring takes the weight of your head and the ear takes none.

Will my ear really touch nothing?

The opening is 9 cm wide and the ring is 6 cm deep, which leaves room for the whole ear, with piercings or earbuds, and space to spare.

Is it comfortable for a whole night?

Yes. The foam is firm enough to keep the opening open under a resting head, and the surface against your cheek is a soft knit.

Is it a medical product?

No. It is a comfort pillow that keeps pressure off the ear at night. For the diagnosis and treatment of any ear condition, follow your doctor's advice.

Can I take it travelling?

It is 25 cm across and weighs under 200 g, so it slips flat into a carry-on and makes hotel pillows usable.

How is it washed?

Unzip the cover and take out the foam. Machine wash the cover cool and air dry it. The foam does not go in the wash.
