Every barefoot step beside your bed should land on something gentle. This sage runner rug runs a band of soft sage plush the length of the bed, so the first step of the morning and the last step of the night land warm and quiet instead of on bare floor. The colour is a calm, muted green that steadies a bedroom, and the pile hushes footsteps as you move through the room.

Lay it along the bed for a soft landing you will look forward to twice a day, a small ritual of comfort that asks nothing of you.

  • Soft sage plush pile, sized to run the full length of the bed
  • Warm, quiet footing for morning and night steps
  • Calming muted colour that settles the whole room
  • Hushing pile that softens every pass through the bedroom

Overview

A bedroom with bare floors always sounds slightly empty — every step lands hard, every sound bounces. Fern™ lays a band of quiet along the bed: a short, dense plush pile in soft sage, brushed with cream linework, that swallows footsteps and warms the first metre of your morning. The pile is cut low enough that doors clear it and robot vacuums climb it, but dense enough that bare feet sink in. A non-slip backing keeps the runner flat and straight against the bed frame, and the muted sage-and-cream palette settles into oak, linen and limewash rooms as if it grew there.

Care

Vacuum regularly on low suction. Spot clean with mild soap and cold water; hang to dry fully before relaying. Rotate occasionally for even wear.

Materials

Short-pile plush surface in sage green with cream abstract linework — choose Stroke (bold brushed lines) or Maze (soft winding paths). Non-slip coated base, low profile that clears doors.

A band of calm beside the bed

Fern™ runs the length of the bedside so every step — first of the morning, last of the night — lands on warm sage plush instead of bare floor.

Drawn lines, quiet colour

Cream linework moves across muted sage like brushstrokes on limewash — enough pattern to hold the eye, never enough to shout.

Fern™ Sage Runner Rug — dense soft short pile, dotted non-slip base, machine washable

Why Fern

Dense low pile that muffles sound, a coated base that never creeps, and three lengths cut for real bedrooms — chosen to make hard floors feel furnished.

The room finally feels finished

We had white walls, oak bed, bare floor — nice but cold. The sage Stroke runner pulled it all together in one afternoon. Steps are silent now.

Low enough for the door, soft enough for feet

Our bedroom door clears it with room to spare and the robot vacuum rolls straight over. But barefoot it still feels plush, not flat. 60×160 was the right call for a queen bed.

Colour is true to photos

A real muted sage — not minty, not neon. The cream lines read like brushstrokes. It hasn't crept a centimetre on our wood floor.

Frequently asked questions

Which size do I need?
40 × 120 cm suits a single bedside or hallway strip; 60 × 160 cm runs the length of a double/queen bedside; 80 × 200 cm spans a king bedside or sits at the foot of the bed.
What's the difference between Stroke and Maze?
Both are sage with cream linework. Stroke is a bolder, brushed-line design; Maze is a softer pattern of winding paths. Same pile, same base, same colours.
Will it slip or bunch?
The base is coated with an anti-slip layer that grips wood, tile and laminate, and the low pile keeps the edges lying flat rather than curling.
Can I put it under the door swing?
Yes — the pile is deliberately short, so most interior doors pass straight over it.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum on low suction for everyday care. For spills, blot fast, then spot clean with cold water and mild soap and let it dry completely.
Is it suitable for a living room or hallway?
Yes — the 80 × 200 cm works along a sofa or hallway, and the anti-slip base handles walk-through traffic.

Actually purchased this to use in a bathroom but it wasn’t as green as I expected it to be and didn’t look quite right in the space. Ended up using it in my entryway which had previously been rug-less since my two 90-lb dogs are in that area a lot and tend to destroy things. This was inexpensive enough that I didn’t care if it got ruined, but six months later it’s holding up great. I have washed it several times (it’s fresh out of the dryer in this pic), it brightens right up. It’s really soft but super thin. Again, perfect for casual use.

I really love this runner rug! The color looks beautiful in my hallway and adds a nice touch to the space. One of my favorite features is that it stays in place and doesn't slip, which makes me feel more comfortable walking on it. I also appreciate that it's washable, making it easy to keep clean. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and practical hallway runner.

Beautiful, soft rug! Originally bought for in my dining room but felt like it had too much personality so I moved it to my bedroom and it’s a perfect fit! Love how a rug can add so much color and make a room feel so inviting. The color green is different in person than it shows online and in the pictures . In the pictures it looks more gray but in person it’s a beautiful green with a light sage green around border. It does not move around on my concrete floors, so no need for a mat underneath unless you want it to feel thicker. I’m ok with it being thin bc it’s extra soft. No creases, it laid out nicely. Very happy for the price point. Also bought the 3x10 matching runner. Again looked great in my kitchen but decided to put in my bathroom and I am in love, goes great with my SW Acacai Haze cabinets.
