I love the sound of a singing bowl, and I bought this economy version for the Senior Sneakers Chair Yoga class and basic yoga class I teach. I haven't been able to make it sing, perhaps my lack of skill, but it delivers an adequate signal to end meditation or sivasana. Pros: Inexpensive, attractive. Cons: The sound, when gently tapped, is alright, but overall the tone is a bit dull and tinny. I am not disappointed, it is what it is and works for what I need. If you are expecting a lovely lilting and lasting tone, you will be disappointed. )

Lovely Tibetan Singing Bowl. The bowl is small, but has a nice weight to it. It is deceivingly heavier than you might expect. I love the warm color and understated, but polished appearance. The three simple engraved lines give an otherwise plain bowl just enough of a little something extra. The inside of the bowl is smooth and the wood striker appears to be well constructed and feels light, yet sturdy in your hand. Like the bowl, it has a simple and elegant design. The cushion donut is very firm and I love its rich colors and intricate design. The attached tag states that it was made in Nepal. I am able to achieve light singing when I strike the bowl as it sits atop the cushion while placed on a flat surface, but the best sound comes when actually holding the bowl in your palm. It is a lovely note to hear and I like the subtle vibration that I can feel on my hand as I strike and continue circling the bowl. Keep in mind that this is a small singing bowl, so the sound will not be as loud or travel as far as larger Tibetan singing bowls. BEAUTIFUL!. I bought this as a gift for my brother. He loves it! It's very calming and can be a little addictive! It also looks nice on his table and is a great conversation piece! The tones are pure! We looked up how to get it to sing on YouTube. With a little practice, we were making beautiful tones! )

Beautiful bowl, exactly what I wanted (I'm not a .... Beautiful bowl, exactly what I wanted (I'm not a fan of painted/enameled bowls), while it has no decorations besides the 3 lines on the side I feel it gives it a more subtle beauty than being covered in decorations. Making the bowl sing was extremely easy, myself and 2 more friends with absolutely no experience were able to make it sing as soon as I unpacked it. The small size makes it perfect to carry around. Only downside is you'll get it covered in fingerprints in no time but a little rub with a cloth will take care of that. )

Beautiful bowl really sings!. I like it! It's not the big gong sound you might think of when you see the picture of a singing bowl, but you know it does okay for the price! I was able to get it singing with a few minutes of tinkering. You need to guide the mallet along the outside belly, not the rim or inside. It sings nicely, and quietly. I use this to refocus my wild kids before yoga or music class. Namaste, y'all. )

Little bowl...BIG sound!. Amazing and gorgeous bowl! Singing is easy to start (though not particularly long lasting). Sound is very clear and ranges from mellow soft to very bold, depending upon how you play it. It is beautiful shiny smooth golden with no engravings (except for 3 fine lines near rim) or painted colors....more contemporary, chic and classy than traditional. It is quite solid, sturdy and heavy for its size (4 inch), so if you're looking for a thin metal bowl this is not it. Included ring cushion is exquisite deep wine color with metallic gold thread pattern. Striker/mallet is smallish (5"- perfect size for this bowl) and made of smooth wood with no finish or suede covering. It is a decorative spindle style with an indent that makes grip comfortable for my small fingers. Came well-packaged in bubble wrap and cardboard carton. It would be even better if it came in a gift-type box suitable for gift giving. I plan to buy several more to give as unique and elegant hostess gifts, and also for my teen granddaughters. Best part...very reasonably priced! A+++ Highly Recommend. )

The dimple pattern on mine runs right up the wall and catches the light differently at every angle. The suede on the mallet is holding up well after a couple of months, and the metal has gone slightly warmer where my fingers sit. I have left it exactly as it is.

I had a bowl years ago that I stood straight on a dresser and it always sounded choked. Resting this one in the little red cushion makes an obvious difference — it rings on for a good few seconds longer. The red is properly rich in person, deeper than a styled photo, and it looks great against oak.

It is genuinely teacup-sized, and that turned out to be exactly why it has stuck. Three weeks in it is the only wind-down thing I have kept up, because it lives on the nightstand and I never have to go and fetch it. Takes a lap and a half round the rim before it catches, then it holds on its own.
