A round metal head lifts on a slender stem from a weighted disc base, standing 22 cm tall so the dial meets your eye instead of your mattress. You can read it from the doorway. The movement sweeps in silence, so the only thing it adds to a quiet room is the ability to know the time without reaching for a screen that will keep you awake another forty minutes.

Care

Wipe the painted metal with a dry soft cloth; a barely damp cloth for marks, dried straight away. Lift it by the head, not the stem. Remove the battery if it will sit unused for months.

This clock is beautiful. It worked good for about a month,. it sits in our bedroom and after a month it began making a sound like a mechanical timer makes when it's counting down. It's a constant ticking, very fast not like a clock ticking. I removed the batteries and reinserted and it doesn't stop. It's just noisy enough to be annoying all the time. I wouldn't recommend this.
