Faux sheepskin, non-slip backing

Overview

Every home has one beautiful, unsittable chair — the rattan one, the bentwood one, the bench that photographs better than it feels. Fleece™ fixes it in one drape: a scalloped faux-sheepskin throw with a full six centimetres of dense pile, warm in winter, breathable in summer, and kind to the animal it imitates. The brushed non-slip backing keeps it on the seat instead of the floor, and the scalloped edge makes it look tailored rather than tossed. Ivory, camel and blush; two lengths for chairs and benches.

Care

Shake outdoors weekly; spot-clean with mild soap and cool water. Machine-wash gentle in a large drum only when needed; air-dry fully, then brush the pile back up.

Materials

High-density faux sheepskin with ≈ 6 cm pile on a breathable non-slip backing, scalloped edge. 60 × 90 cm or 60 × 120 cm.

Cat approved, unfortunately

Bought the camel for the reading chair; the cat annexed it within the hour. Bought a second. The pile shakes out beautifully.

Frequently asked questions

Which size for which seat?
60 × 90 cm drapes a single chair seat-and-back; 60 × 120 cm covers benches, wider armchairs or a bed-end runner.
Is it washable?
Yes — gentle cycle in a roomy drum, air-dry fully, brush the pile up. Between washes a shake and a spot-clean handle most life.
Does it shed?
A light settling-in fluff the first week, then it holds its pile — the fibres are anchored in the backing, not glued.
Is it hot to sit on in summer?
The backing is breathable and the pile airy, so it reads cosy rather than sweaty — warm in winter, comfortable in summer.
Real or faux?
Entirely faux — the look and depth of sheepskin with no animal involved, and easier care besides.
Can I use it as a rug?
Beside a bed or under a nursing chair, yes — the non-slip back helps on hard floors. For high-traffic hallways, choose a woven rug instead.

Disappointed with the thickness. Picture makes it look much more padded than it is. Not soft & cushion like at all!

The beige rug is beautiful I washed it soon as it got delivered then dried it on air flow. It’s so soft I love it

Followed someone else’s review and threw it in the dryer for 20 mins. It fluffed up and is super cute and soft

This rug really does look like a genuine sheepskin rug. It replaced an old black genuine sheepskin rug that I had to dispose of and I can't bring myself to buy another, especially if my dogs will just ruin it again. I have cold tiled floors so it's nice to have a fur rug to walk and stand on. It isn't very heavy and easily moves on the tile so if you prefer something more stationary, you'd have to anchor it with velcro or something. I like the fact that it is easy to shake out to clean and can be washed if necessary. I haven't noticed any shedding and it is really soft. The color is perfect and I really contemplated getting a black one but white dog hair and blonde human hair stood out on the black sheepskin I previously had, so I decided on the gray. I'm happy I did because you can't tell when it's dirty. It comes in a vacuum packed bag and is very wrinkled when you take it out so when you get it, put it in the dryer for a few minutes, or until the wrinkles come out. It won't take long.

This is my second purchase of this type of rug. I have a smaller one that I placed in a rocking chair for my cats to sleep on. I wanted another one to fit my loveseat recliner, also for the cats to sit on. That way if I don’t want cat hair on the furniture, I just remove the rug!

I had pretty low expectations for this "rug" and it actually turned out better than I expected, but I do want to point out hat I use it to cover the top of my arm chair and not as an actual rug. My cat likes to claw at that top of my couch and chair and these Faux fur keep them from getting torn up. This particular one looks great and matches my other ones well. It takes a little while to fluff up after being vacuum sealed, but when it takes it's shape, it looks great. I don't know how it would function as a rug because it's pretty thin, but I guess that would depends on how you use it. It it very easy to clean and it's very pleasant to the touch. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.
