What does infinite dimming actually mean?
It's stepless. Instead of clicking through two or three fixed brightness levels, you press and hold and the light glides continuously from full output down to a low glow — so you can stop exactly where your eyes are comfortable.
Is it corded or rechargeable?
Corded. It plugs in and stays put, which means full brightness all evening and nothing to remember to charge. If you'd rather carry a lamp around the house, our Porcini™ is the cordless one.
Does it flicker at low brightness?
No — the dimming is a smooth analogue glide, not stepped, so even at its lowest glow the light stays steady with no flicker or hum.
Is it bright enough to read by?
On natural or cool white at full output, yes — plenty for reading in a chair or in bed. It's built to light the corner it stands in beautifully.
Does the glass get hot?
