The softest light in our house
We have dimmers everywhere and this beats all of them. The paper turns a plain warm bulb into something that looks like moonrise on the nightstand.

Looks expensive, weighs nothing
Guests assume it's the designer version. I carry it from the bedroom to the living room by two fingers when we have people over.

Survived a toddler
It got knocked off the side table twice — the paper flexed, the legs bounced, nothing tore. It's tougher than it has any right to be.

Frequently asked questions
Does it include a bulb?
No bulb is supplied. The fitting is E27, accepting your standard bulb. Choose a warm LED at 2700 K for traditional lantern-like light while keeping its paper covering cool.
Does rice paper damage easily?
Compared with glass, its ribbed structure gives more flexibility, letting the shade bend rather than crack. Care for it as a light shade rather than a decorative ornament, and it will last for years.
What turns the lamp on?
A wall plug supplies power, with the control along the cable positioned for reaching easily from a sofa or bed.
What are its dimensions?
The egg-shaped paper shade spans 28 cm. Including its legs, the lamp reaches 47 cm high, noticeable in a room without filling the whole bedside surface.
Is it suitable for a child's room?
Yes — fitting an LED keeps the paper cool, with soft illumination suited to bedtime activities. Tuck the cable away, as with other lamps used in the room.
What packaging is used?
A small box contains the frame, legs and flattened shade. Open it out and put it together in approximately two minutes without using tools.
