Finally, actual silence
I returned two 'silent' clocks before this one. Held it to my ear the night it arrived — nothing. The sage colour is softer in person, almost eucalyptus.

My phone sleeps in the kitchen now
Bought the charcoal one specifically to end the phone-as-alarm habit. The little light button is perfect for checking the time without waking my wife.

Looks like a flea-market find, works like new
It has that 1960s pedestal shape people always ask about. Sits on my desk next to a stone tray and honestly carries the whole corner.

Frequently asked questions
Is it truly silent?
Yes. It has a sweep quartz movement, so the second hand moves continuously and does not tick. On a quiet nightstand you will not hear it.
How loud does the alarm get?
A classic rising beep, firm enough to wake a heavy sleeper on the other side of the room, and it stops as soon as you press the button. There is no snooze function.
What powers it?
One AA battery (not included) runs the clock and the night-light button for months. There are no cords and no charging, and it keeps time through power cuts.
What size is it exactly?
The dial is 7.6 cm (3 inches) across and the whole clock is about 12 cm tall on its pedestal, roughly the height of a coffee mug. It is small on purpose, and that is its charm.
Which colour is right for me?
Charcoal is a crisp graphic accent against pale walls and oak. Sage blends into calmer, greener corners and looks particularly good next to linen and clay. Both have the same cream dial.
Is the night light on all night?
No. It is a press-and-glow light that lights the dial just long enough to read the time and then fades, which keeps the bedroom dark and spares the battery.
